We are on the first week of 2021, and until this week my last post went live on checks notes February 2020. Then something happened.

This week in my Buy Music Club recommendations, new music from Jeannine Schulz, tehn, and Rinnovare.

I figured that every time I update my Buy Music Club page I should write a few words about each of my picks - this is the first one of those. What’s this Buy Music Club, you ask?

I am an amateurish producer, to the point where even using that term is pushing it. So when how the night came asked me how I had put a track together, I had to actually think about it.

Last night I was fooling around with the 0-COAST, and got stuck on a very nice loop between the slope and the contour, as you do - that this is a single voice synth still blows my mind. A slow, gorgeous drone was coming out of the monitors (almost as if granulated), with the mass of a thousand Suns. I was very much in the zone, but it was late, and I had to shut things down.

A few months ago, on the 20th anniversary of the word “blog”, Marc Weidenbaum wrote a post celebrating blogs, and asked his readers to start a blog.
